The Superior Room is a bright and comfortable base for guests who want a simple, relaxed room within the colourful Mauritian setting of Zilwa Attitude. With either one double bed or two single beds, this category works well for couples, small families or friends who want easy access to the resort’s pools, restaurants, beach and activities.
The Family Room gives families more space than the Superior Room, with a small lounge and a large terrace. All 14 rooms are on the ground floor, which can be useful for families who prefer accommodation without an upper-floor setting.
At 40 sqm, the Couple Deluxe Room gives two guests more space than the 35 sqm Superior Room. Garden, lagoon and Seafront options are available, giving couples a choice of settings around the hotel.
At 50 sqm, the Family Deluxe Room gives families two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It accommodates two adults, two teens and one child, making it a useful option for larger families who want separate sleeping areas.
The Couple Junior Beachfront Suite is ideal for couples who want a more romantic beach-facing stay. This suite has a large terrace overlooking the lagoon, making it perfect for slow mornings, quiet evenings and relaxed moments close to the sea.
The Couple Privilege Suite is designed for guests who want a more private and indulgent couple-focused stay. This category includes a secluded balcony and a Jacuzzi, creating a calm space for relaxing together after a day in the sun.
Karay is the main restaurant at Zilwa Attitude and works as the central dining hub of the resort. The restaurant serves varied buffets with local and international cuisine, making it the easiest everyday dining option for guests who want choice, comfort and flexibility.
Lor Disab means “on the beach” in Creole, and the restaurant is built around that toes-in-the-sand feeling. At lunchtime, guests can enjoy a relaxed buffet with salads, grilled food and hot dishes while sitting close to the sand and lagoon.
Gran Zil BBQ is one of Zilwa Attitude’s signature island experiences. Guests take a short pontoon ride to the private islet of Gran Zil, where the barbecue is waiting, picnic benches sit on the sand and overwater hammocks add to the castaway feeling.
Tadka is the resort’s Indian speciality restaurant, focused on the flavours of North India. Guests can expect warm naan breads, fragrant curries, tandoori dishes and rich, comforting plates served in an à la carte setting.
Manao is the resort’s Thai restaurant, set in a traditional Thai-style house surrounded by a peaceful garden. The restaurant blends Mauritian and Thai influences, creating a charming Asian-inspired dining experience within the tropical setting of Zilwa Attitude.
Kot Nou is Zilwa Attitude’s signature Mauritian restaurant, created around generous local dining and the feeling of eating somewhere homely and full of character. The menu reimagines local specialities such as salmi, rougaille and cari, served tapas-style in small dishes to share.
Taba-J is Zilwa Attitude’s street-food-style venue, inspired by the Mauritian “tabagie”, a local shop at the heart of everyday island life. Served from a colourful food truck, it gives guests the chance to try Mauritian street-food specialities in a casual, feet-in-the-sand setting.
Siro Kann is the main bar at Zilwa Attitude, serving house cocktails made with rum, fruit juice and sugar cane syrup from local producers. It is one of the easiest places to stop for a refreshing drink during the day or continue the evening after dinner.
Lor Disab Pirogue Bar is a beachside bar made for tropical evenings with the lagoon in view. Guests can dig their feet into the sand and enjoy cocktails beside the moonlit water, making it a peaceful and atmospheric choice after dinner.
The Juice Bar serves tropical juices and smoothies made with local, seasonal fruit and vegetables. Created in partnership with Roshan, also known as Mr Juice, the concept supports a local Mauritian business and uses ingredients such as pineapple, banana, ginger and carrot.
Teabaz is the resort’s tea bar, celebrating the Mauritian love of tea and teatime. Guests can enjoy a self-service tea experience with local teas and infusions, including signature flavours such as Cardamom-Vanilla and Passion Fruit-Mango-Vanilla.
Zilwa Attitude has four swimming pools, including two main pools, one zen pool reserved for adults, a beach swimming pool and a dedicated pool for children. This gives guests plenty of choice, whether they want family pool time, a quieter adults-only swim or a relaxed pool close to the beach.
The resort has a strong focus on lagoon and water activities, with a nautical hut offering a range of activities for different levels of confidence. Guests can enjoy kayaking, pedal boats, snorkelling, windsurfing, stand-up paddleboarding, Hobie Cat sailing and glass-bottom boat trips.
Ekol’O is a floating educational centre created to help guests discover the lagoon from the lagoon itself. It adds an educational element to the resort’s water activities, making the marine environment feel more meaningful rather than simply scenic.
Guests can join a catamaran cruise from the hotel at an additional cost. The experience includes sailing out for a snorkelling session before heading towards the small beach of Îlot Bernaches.
Scuba diving is available through a certified PADI dive centre nearby. The official page describes Mauritius as a beautiful diving destination, with warm seawater, coral gardens, wrecks and drop-offs.
Zilwa Attitude is located near Anse la Raie, one of the most famous kitesurfing spots in the north of Mauritius. Kitesurfing is available through the ION Club school, with transfers possible to and from the hotel.
Zilwa Attitude offers a varied selection of land activities for guests who want to keep active away from the lagoon. The official activities page lists tennis-volley, tai chi, stretching, yoga, beach football, beach volleyball, pétanque, table tennis, board games, typical Mauritian games, gym and entertainment.
Spa POZ is Zilwa Attitude’s wellness space, inspired by authentic Mauritian wellbeing traditions. The spa uses products created exclusively for POZ by Indika, a Mauritian company that cultivates medicinal plants in the Ferney Valley. The products are described as handmade, natural, vegan, locally produced and packaged in recyclable materials.
The kids’ club at Zilwa Attitude welcomes children aged 3 to 12 years and is free of charge every day from 09:00 to 21:00. Supervised by the hotel’s Family Members, children can enjoy fun and creative activities throughout the day.
Spa POZ also offers treatments for children aged 3 to 12 years. These treatments are adapted to children’s skin type, age and attention span, and can be enjoyed alone or with the family.
Zilwa Attitude is built around local Mauritian experiences, helping guests feel closer to the island rather than only staying inside the resort. The official activities page lists Local Shop, Local Family Dinner, Local Food, Local App and Local Music as part of the “Like a Local” offer.
The resort offers off-the-beaten-track experiences designed to help guests discover Mauritius differently. Officially listed experiences include sunrise in a pirogue, barbecue on Gran Zil, immersion into Mauritian life, stand-up paddleboarding and the Marine Discovery Centre.
Guests can visit the Marine Discovery Centre located within Lagoon Attitude. This experience gives guests a deeper understanding of the local marine environment and supports the wider Attitude Hotels approach to responsible tourism and ocean awareness.
Evenings at Zilwa Attitude can include open-air cinema, Boma once a week, sega, live music and entertainment. This gives the resort a relaxed but lively evening rhythm, with Mauritian music and cultural energy woven into the stay.
Zilwa Attitude can host weddings and special celebrations in beachfront and private-island settings. Guests can choose a beach wedding with views over Coin de Mire or sail across to Gran Zil for a more secluded private-island ceremony.
Zilwa Attitude is on Royal Road 742CU001 in Calodyne, northern Mauritius. The hotel is 74 km from the airport, with a journey of approximately 75 minutes by car. Grand Baie is 8km away and around 10 minutes by car, while Cap Malheureux is 5km away and around eight minutes away. Port-Louis is 30km from the hotel, with an official driving time of approximately 25 minutes.
