Athens Holidays

Athens holidays are an ideal mix of traditional and trendy, without either side feeling forced. On a trip here, you can explore ancient ruins, vibrant neighborhoods, and world-class museums. You can explore relics of the ancient past and the modern dining scene, such as ancient ruins like the Acropolis of Athens in the morning, then find yourself in neighbourhoods such as Plaka or Psiri ((or Psyrri) where the mood shifts towards street art, small restaurants and late evenings.

From grand museums like the Acropolis Museum to contemporary dining spots and relaxed terraces, the city offers more than just its historical reputation. On our trips to Athens, you can embark on a walking city tour, which often ends up being the easiest way to connect the landmarks with the neighbourhoods around them.

Beyond the centre, a stretch of coastline south of the city brings a different pace altogether. Areas along the Athens Riviera offer beautiful beaches such as Astir Beach, Kape Beach and more. It adds balance, especially if you want to combine sightseeing with some downtime.

Evenings tend to unfold on their own here. The city ensures vibrant nightlife including evening entertainment, restaurants, bars, and nightclubs. It never feels overwhelming; more like something you ease into as the day winds down.

If you’re planning ahead, Athens makes for a fascinating city break that works across different travel styles. With options to find Athens flight + hotel deals or book your Athens holiday with low deposit options with Luxtripper, it’s easy to keep things flexible.
