Beach Villas suit guests who want to stay close to the sand without a private pool. Each 120 sqm villa has a modern, understated interior, an open-air bathroom and a private furnished patio. Outside, a shaded timber deck is framed by foliage and looks towards the sea.
Beach Villas with Pool combine a front-row beach position with more private outdoor space. The 172 sqm villas have vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows and wide-angle views towards the horizon, keeping the surrounding island setting visible from inside.
Two Bedroom Family Beach Villas with Pool are designed for families who want proper separation between sleeping areas. Each 220 sqm villa has a master bedroom, a children's bedroom and two bathrooms, giving parents and younger travellers more space than a standard one-bedroom beach villa.
These overwater villas run along the resort's jetty and can be booked with a Sunrise View preference. Each measures 172 sqm, with warm wood tones and generous glazing helping to keep the water and morning light part of the room.
Sunset Water Villas with Pool share the same 172 sqm layout as the sunrise-facing Water Villas, but can be booked with a Sunset View preference. Their position along the overwater jetty makes the evening outlook the main point of difference.
Only three Superior Water Villas with Pool sit at the far end of the jetty. At 230 sqm, they provide more space than the other overwater villa categories and have direct lagoon access, making them particularly appealing to guests who want to spend plenty of time in the water.
The Two Bedroom Presidential Beach Villa with Pool is the resort's largest villa at 351 sqm. There is only one, positioned on the north-west side of the island with direct beach access. Two bedrooms and separate living and dining areas make it well suited to families or groups who want more shared space alongside separate sleeping areas.
Aqua Restaurant is the resort's main all-day dining venue, set on the beach facing the lagoon. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served as international buffets, with live cooking stations and themed dinner nights providing plenty of choice throughout a stay.
Beach Club Grill Restaurant sits directly on the beach facing the lagoon and serves lunch. The menu covers seafood and meat from the grill alongside hamburgers, Asian dishes, pizza, salads and pasta.
Carnivorous Restaurant brings South American flavours to a beachfront setting overlooking the Indian Ocean. Dinner follows the style of a Brazilian churrascaria, with grilled meats at the heart of the experience alongside seafood options.
Grill. Its à la carte menu draws on Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai and Japanese cooking, making it the resort's main choice for a wider range of Asian flavours.
Teppanyaki Grill offers Japanese cooking prepared in front of guests in an open-air group setting. Unlike the neighbouring Le Asiatique Restaurant, the experience is built around live preparation and fixed seating times.
Mediterraneo Restaurant sits over the lagoon at the edge of the house reef and opens for dinner. Its menu focuses on Mediterranean cooking, drawing on Greek, Italian, French and Spanish influences.
Sunset Pool & Bar is beside the main pool on the resort's main beach and stays open from late morning until midnight. It covers daytime drinks as well as evening cocktails, with ocean views and music forming part of the setting.
Eclipse Bar is at the far end of the Mediterraneo Restaurant jetty, directly over the water. Its evening opening hours make sunset, pre-dinner and after-dinner drinks the natural focus.
In-Villa Dining is available 24 hours a day for guests who prefer to eat at their villa. The service includes an All-Day Dining menu and late-night snacks, giving guests another option outside normal restaurant opening times.
Destination Dining moves meals away from the regular restaurants and into private settings around the island and surrounding sandbanks. Options include Floating Breakfast, Private Sandbank Picnic, Sandbank Exclusive Dinner, Sunken Dinner On The Beach, Romantic Beach Dinner, Sandbank Sunken Dinner and Private Dinner on Sunset Jetty.
The Emerald Spa is set within the island's greenery and has eight air-conditioned spa huts. The treatment menu covers massages, facials, body treatments, Ayurveda therapies, manicures and pedicures, with Thai and Balinese techniques among the influences.
Guests can choose between complimentary group yoga and private yoga sessions. The resort's dedicated Yoga Pavilion provides a separate space for these sessions within the spa area.
The air-conditioned Gym & Sports Centre is fitted with Technogym equipment. Professional assistance is available for guests who want a personalised training programme, while the resort also lists jogging and personal coaching among its fitness options.
The resort has one tennis court and one padel court beside the Marina's Jetty. Guests can play independently or arrange private sessions with a personal coach.
The Main Pool is beside Sunset Pool & Bar on the resort's main beach and is described by the resort as one of the longest pools in the Maldives. Private cabanas and sun loungers are arranged around the pool for guests spending the day here.
Dolphin Kids Club is for children aged 3 to 12 and is run by trained multilingual staff. The programme includes creative, educational and active sessions, with activities taking place both indoors and outside.
The Water Sports Centre is on the beach and covers both slower lagoon activities and faster motorised options. Guests can try Hobie Cat sailing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding and windsurfing, or choose activities such as Jet Ski, wakeboarding and water skiing.
The Diving Centre is close to the arrival jetty and caters for both beginners and certified divers. Options include tank dives, PADI-certified courses, Discover Scuba sessions, Bubblemaker & Seal Team activities and guided diving excursions.
The house reef lets guests snorkel without taking a separate boat trip. A reef map shows recommended entry points, while snorkelling sets can be collected from the Dive Centre. Complimentary weekly snorkelling lessons are also available.
Private Manta Snorkelling Excursion focuses specifically on finding suitable areas for manta snorkelling during a private 2.5-hour trip.
The resort's wider excursion programme covers fishing, cruising, sandbanks and opportunities to explore more of the Maldives. Options include Big Game Fishing, Dolphin Tour, Traditional Sunset Fishing, Private Excursion, Romantic Stargazing, Golden Sandbank, Ocean Sunset Cruise and Discover Maldives.
Food and drink classes give guests the chance to try something more hands-on during their stay. The programme includes Choco Swiss Roll, Maldivian Cooking Class and Carbonara Sauce Master Class, alongside Molecular Mixology and a Cocktail Masterclass.
The resort's entertainment programme adds organised social activities around the island. Official options include Live Music, Retro Party, Cocktail Party, Tiki Bar Pool Party, Karaoke Night, Snorkelling, Family Beach Games and Crab Race.
Movie Under the Stars turns part of the beach into a private open-air cinema for two. Guests choose a film to watch on a wide screen, with popcorn and drinks included.
The resort offers dedicated proposal arrangements for couples, with Classic, Luxury and Platinum options. Classic and Luxury proposals use a private venue, while the Platinum package takes place on a private sandbank when weather conditions allow.
Renewal of Vows packages cover both the ceremony and selected parts of the celebration. Arrangements can include floral decoration, a bouquet, cake, a dedicated coordinator and master of ceremony, a renewal certificate and a private dinner on the beach.
Celebrate covers personal occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries during a stay. The resort can arrange birthday experiences, anniversary decorations and surprises, as well as fresh flowers.
Family Summer Fun Fest is a seasonal programme running until 31 August 2026. It adds organised activities for children, teenagers and adults alongside the resort's usual family facilities and recreation programme.
Emerald Faarufushi Resort & Spa is on Faarufushi Island in Raa Atoll, northern Maldives. From Malé airport, guests can take a 45-minute seaplane or a 40-minute domestic flight to Ifuru Domestic Airport followed by a 5-minute speedboat. Same-day seaplane transfers are available for international arrivals by 3:30 pm and departures from 9:00 am Malé time.
