Sunrise Villa suits travellers who prefer an east-facing location and views towards the Indian Ocean at sunrise. Each 76 m² villa sits on the eastern side of the island, with views across greenery and the sea. The layout includes a king-size bed, day bed, private enclosed backyard and a terrace with lounge furniture.
Sunset Beach Villa sits on the western side of the island, looking towards the lagoon, sandy beach and evening sunset. At 76 m², it offers the same overall space as Sunrise Villa but with a different setting, making it a better choice for travellers who prefer the western side of Canareef.
Premium Beach Villa with Whirlpool is the resort's largest villa category at 97 m². Positioned on the western side of the island, it suits couples, honeymooners and families who want more space and an added outdoor feature. The villa looks towards the lagoon and sunset and includes a spacious bedroom with a four-poster bed.
Kilhi Restaurant is Canareef's main buffet restaurant and serves the meals included in the resort's meal plans. Breakfast, lunch and dinner feature Maldivian, Sri Lankan, French and wider international dishes, alongside seafood, wines and other beverages.
Keymaa Restaurant serves an international-themed buffet with live cooking stations, Maldivian and Sri Lankan dishes, fresh seafood, wines and other beverages. The restaurant is primarily dedicated to guests staying in Premium Beach Villas with Whirlpool and is also available for romantic dinners.
Meera Bar combines 24-hour à la carte dining with cocktails, wines and other drinks. Fresh seafood is one of the food options highlighted by the resort, making this a useful alternative when guests want to eat outside the main buffet restaurants.
Dhoni Bar is the resort's main bar and suits guests looking for drinks, snacks and evening entertainment. Wines and other beverages are served throughout the day, with entertainment that can include DJs, local Boduberu and crab races.
Beach Bar is Canareef's daytime option for drinks and snacks by the sea. It serves wines, cocktails and other beverages alongside light refreshments from morning until early evening.
Canareef Spa sits within the resort's gardens and offers private treatment suites for individuals and couples. Treatments include massages, scrubs, facials, body-care treatments and Balinese therapies.
The resort has a fully equipped gym for guests who want to keep up their usual fitness routine while away. It provides an indoor option alongside swimming, cycling, tennis and water sports.
Canareef’s supervised Kids Club offers games, educational activities and beach activities for younger guests. As the resort’s official pages provide conflicting age requirements, families should confirm current eligibility directly with the resort.
Diving is a major part of a stay at Canareef, with over 25 sites around Addu Atoll. The SSI Dive Centre caters for beginners and experienced divers, with diving equipment, instructors, courses and guided dives available. First-time divers can also take part in discover scuba sessions, while a Bubble Maker course is available for children.
Canareef does not have a house reef, so snorkelling is centred around the lagoon at the southern end of the island and organised trips around Addu Atoll. Private snorkelling tours can also be arranged.
Water Sports Adventures gives active guests another way to spend time on the lagoon. Official resort information highlights paddle activities and jet ski rides, with activities operated through the Watersports Centre.
The Dolphin Cruise takes guests onto the waters around Addu Atoll, where there are opportunities to see spinner dolphins, bottlenose dolphins and pilot whales.
Sunset Cocktail Cruise combines an evening boat trip with cocktails and canapés. It offers a more social way to spend sunset on the water and works well for couples, friends and groups.

The Addu City tour adds local history and everyday island life to a resort stay. The route includes Maradhoo's boatyards, Feydhoo, Gan's former RAF history and Hithadhoo, where a large natural lake attracts local and migratory birdlife.
Captivating Local Island Tour visits neighbouring Hulhumeedhoo and focuses on local farming, fishing and history. Officially highlighted stops include Mathikilhi Eco Garden, taro farms, Second World War relics and Koagannu.
Canareef has three swimming pools, including an Olympic-sized pool and two additional pools. The Olympic-sized pool is at Dhoni Bar, while a smaller pool is located at Meera Bar.

Canareef can arrange anniversary stays that combine accommodation for the couple with a romantic sunset cruise, a special dinner prepared by the resort's chef and access to the bar for the evening.
Private parties can be arranged through the resort, with accommodation for the host, additional rooms on request, a specially prepared party menu and use of the bar during the event.
Canareef can host meetings, conferences and corporate gatherings, with a conference hall listed among the resort's facilities.
Canareef Eco Park centres around the largest lake on the island and gives guests a closer look at the resort's natural environment. Activities include nature walks, birdwatching and fish observation, with wetlands, native vegetation and lake areas forming part of the setting.
Romantic Sunset Cruise takes couples out on the water in the evening to watch the sun go down around Addu Atoll. Guests may also have opportunities to see dolphins during the trip.
Complimentary bicycles make it easier to explore Canareef's approximately 4.5-kilometre island at your own pace. They are particularly useful for moving between different parts of the resort without relying on buggy transport.
Canareef Resort Maldives is on Herathera Island in Addu Atoll, approximately 542 kilometres south of Malé. Guests arriving at Velana International Airport take an approximately 70–95-minute domestic flight to Gan International Airport, followed by a 10-minute speedboat transfer to the resort. Guests flying directly into Gan International Airport require only the 10-minute speedboat transfer. The domestic flight from Malé crosses the equator during the journey south.
