What's Included
Itinerary
Hanoi is a total sensory whirlwind, where ten centuries of history hum through narrow alleys packed with motorbikes. You will catch the scent of sizzling bun cha one moment and the sweet drift of temple incense the next. Your Vietnam holiday starts with a warm greeting at Noi Bai International Airport (HAN), from where you will be transported to the 5* Hotel de l'Opera. You will be staying in a Superior Room, a sanctuary with warm wooden floors and a plush bed, designed for the ultimate rest. After a peaceful night, wake up with a decadent Bed & Breakfast experience, featuring a sumptuous buffet of international and local delicacies.
You will spend three days diving deep into Hanoi. In your city tour, you will visit the humble Ho Chi Minh’s House and the 6th-century Tran Quoc Pagoda perched on West Lake. A major highlight of the city is the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that served as the country's political center for 13 centuries. You can explore its ancient stone gates and the iconic Hanoi Flag Tower. After wandering the storied Temple of Literature and the Museum of Ethnology, you will head to the historic districts. Here, you can sit on a tiny street-side chair at a vintage café to sip traditional Vietnamese coffee and soak up the local soul.

On the fifth day of your trip, you will trade the city energy of Hanoi for the stunning landscapes of Mù Cang Chải. The journey into northern Vietnam begins with a beautiful, scenic drive as you wind your way along Highway 32. You will wind through emerald tea plantations at Soui Giang Eco-Park before conquering the legendary Khau Pha Pass. At over 1,200 metres, this “Horn of Heaven” offers jaw-dropping views of rice terraces that look like giant staircases reaching for the clouds.
Your home for two nights will be the 5* Garrya Mù Cang Chải, where you will settle into a Grand Deluxe Room. It is truly the best base for explorers, featuring a private terrace that looks directly out onto the valley’s golden waves. Since you are on Full Board, every meal is a chance to savour local flavours without leaving the mountains.
The highlight is a trek through bamboo forests to the Dinosaur’s Back (Song Lung Khung Long). Standing on this rugged ridge, you will see a 360-degree view of the H’mong people’s hand-carved heritage. After a picnic lunch and a walk down to the valley via Ta Cho Bridge, your driver will drop you back to the resort. After a final morning of fresh mountain air, you will head back to Hanoi to get connected with your next destination.
