Upon arriving at Noi Bai International Airport, our representative will welcome you and arrange a comfortable transfer to your hotel in Hanoi. Once you reach the rest of the day will be free for you to relax or explore the city at your own pace. You will spend the night in Hanoi.

You will begin the day at the former residence of President Ho Chi Minh, a modest stilted home surrounded by gardens, offering insight into his simple lifestyle through preserved personal items. Next, you will head to Tran Quoc Pagoda, a serene Buddhist site dating back to the sixth century, set gracefully on West Lake. Continue onward to the Temple of Literature, established in the eleventh century as Vietnam’s earliest centre of higher learning. After lunch, explore the Museum of Ethnology to understand the country’s diverse cultures. Later, return downtown for a guided stroll through Hanoi’s Old Quarter, famous for historic trade streets. Your day will conclude by relaxing at a traditional café, sipping strong Vietnamese coffee from low stools while observing everyday city life quietly together.
Spend the morning at leisure. In the afternoon, you will get to enjoy an intimate cultural encounter in Hanoi with a master water-puppet artisan whose family has practised the craft for generations. You then get a chance to discover the history of this centuries-old northern tradition, explore his workshop, and watch a private home performance. Afterwards, try controlling puppets in the water and hand-paint your souvenir. Continue to a village villa for a cooking experience, beginning with a lively wet market visit to select fresh ingredients. Relax with herbal tea, optionally explore nearby temples and pagodas, then prepare four classic dishes and savour dinner before returning to your hotel.
You will leave Hanoi city in the morning for a scenic two-hour journey to Ninh Binh. Your first stop will be Hoa Lu, once the political heart of Vietnam in the 10th century. Although the original fortress no longer exists, well-preserved temples honouring the Dinh and Le rulers remain amid peaceful rice fields. After lunch, travel to Tam Coc, often compared to a landscape painting, where you will board a small boat for a leisurely ride along quiet waterways.
As you drift past dramatic limestone cliffs, you will pass through a series of natural caves carved beneath the mountains. Continue to Bich Dong Pagoda, a tranquil complex nestled into the hillside, admired for its harmony with nature. For those interested, an optional climb up Mua Mountain offers panoramic views after ascending nearly 500 stone steps decorated with detailed carvings. Return to your hotel in the late afternoon.

This journey offers a deeper look into everyday life beyond the busy tourist zones of Hoi An. Beginning with pickup from your hotel, the route crosses a bridge to Cam Kim Island and follows peaceful riverbanks into the countryside. You will cycle through tranquil villages and expansive farmland, stopping to capture photos of seasonal crops such as corn, eggplant, sweet potato, cucumbers, and fresh herbs.
The highlights include a visit to a century-old ancestral home belonging to Mr Huynh Ri and a traditional boat-building workshop. Along the way, you will connect with local families and take part in hands-on rural activities, including mat weaving, farming practices, and preparing the local dish Bánh Đập, which you will also taste. Before returning, relax at a neighbourhood café to experience traditional coffee roasting, then ride back toward the historic heart of Hoi An. From here, sweeping mountain and ocean views reveal the strategic significance of this former military outpost. Continuing onward, you will reach Hue, settle in for a relaxing overnight stay after a memorable day of travel and exploration.
