The BEACH VILLA suits couples who prefer staying on the island rather than over the water. The resort has 20 villas in this category, surrounded by tropical vegetation with the white-sand beach and lagoon just a few steps away. The BEACH POOL VILLA keeps guests close to the beach while adding a private pool. Native vegetation and palm trees surround the pool and garden area, with the sand and water only steps away. It works well for couples who want their own pool but would rather stay on land than over the lagoon.
The OVERWATER VILLA is a straightforward option for couples who want to stay above the lagoon with direct access to the water. Its deck has steps leading into the sea, making swimming and snorkelling easy to fit into the day.
The OVERWATER SUNSET VILLA is aimed at couples who want their overwater stay positioned towards the evening sky. Its deck faces the sunset and has steps leading directly into the sea, giving guests both the outlook and easy water access.
The OVERWATER SUNSET POOL VILLA combines a private pool with direct lagoon access and a sunset-facing position. Its broad deck has sun loungers and steps into the lagoon, so couples can switch easily between their own pool and the sea.
Choose the Overwater Reef Pool Villa if easy access to the house reef is a priority. Set over the water, it has direct reef access alongside an outdoor pool and sun loungers. The 180-degree panoramic ocean outlook also gives couples plenty of open water to enjoy from the villa.
The OVERWATER SUNRISE POOL VILLA is well suited to early risers and guests who want easy access to the house reef. Sunrise-facing loungers sit beside the outdoor pool, while the villa also has direct access to the reef for swimming and snorkelling.
ALITA RESTAURANT is the resort’s all-day buffet restaurant, with unobstructed views across the lagoon. Breakfast includes choices such as pancakes, waffles and eggs, while lunch features a range of international dishes. Dinner features themed buffets, which may include seafood, Sri Lankan and Maldivian evenings, alongside locally sourced ingredients.
VISTA RESTAURANT sits over the lagoon and serves Pan-Mediterranean food. Its setting includes unobstructed lagoon views, outdoor seating and overwater nets, making it noticeably different from the buffet-style dining at ALITA.
POOL BAR serves drinks, snacks and casual mains beside the swimming pool, with views towards the sea. The drinks selection includes cocktails, mocktails, beers, wines, spirits, coffee, tea, juices and soft drinks.
DINING BY DESIGN covers the resort’s more private meal experiences. Guests staying in a Beach Pool Villa or overwater pool villa can arrange a floating breakfast in their private pool, while tailored private lunches and dinners are also available.
Suvadiva Spa offers massages, body wraps, scrubs and couples’ rituals, drawing on Asian and European wellness approaches. Treatments can take place in dedicated treatment rooms or in garden settings among the island’s tropical plants.
The Nest is a dedicated space for gentle wellness activities. Guests can join sunrise yoga overlooking the ocean, guided meditation and mindful walks along the shoreline.
The resort has a 40m swimming pool for casual swimming as well as lap sessions. It gives guests a freshwater alternative to swimming in the lagoon.
The resort operates an accredited PADI 5-Star Dive Resort for beginners, qualified divers and more experienced guests. Activities include guided reef dives, shark-focused dives, turtle exploration dives, multi-dive packages, equipment rental and refresher sessions.

Dolphin cruises head into Gaafu Alifu Atoll with opportunities to see Spinner and Bottlenose Dolphins in their natural habitat.
This excursion introduces guests to traditional Maldivian hand-line fishing on the open water.

Mercure Maldives Kooddoo is on Kooddoo Island in Gaafu Alifu Atoll, southern Maldives. From Velana International Airport, guests take a 55-minute domestic flight to Kooddoo Airport, followed by a five-minute buggy ride. Mercure staff assist with the domestic connection in Malé. The full journey averages around four hours and can take up to eight hours.
