After a scrumptious breakfast, you will set out toward the breathtaking Sacred Gallery Forest located south of the camp. Depending on the water level of the Mandrare River, you will either walk across or take a short boat ride to reach this mostly deciduous forest. During your visit, you are likely to encounter curious groups of ring-tailed lemurs and the lively Verreaux's sifaka, which are among the highlights of this excursion.

Afterwards, return to camp to enjoy a leisurely lunch followed by some relaxing time by the pool. In the late afternoon, embark on a guided walk through the Sacred Spiny Forest, an area rich with ancestral tombs of the Antandroy tribe and remarkable endemic plant and animal life. Accompanied by an English-speaking guide and a local tracker, you will gain insight into the traditions and culture of the Antandroy people, ending the day with sundowners along the Mandrare Riverbanks.
