Itinerary
Upon arrival at Ivato International Airport (TNR), look for your guide waiting in the arrivals hall. A private transfer will whisk you away to the 4-star Radisson Hotel Tamboho Waterfront for a relaxing start to your journey. Enjoy a light welcome snack during the 25-minute transfer to the city. Your stay at the hotel includes a Superior Room with dinner. Post dinner, you can unwind by the heated pool or take in the tranquil views of the Tana Water Front. It is the ideal place to recharge after your flight. On Day 2, you meet your guide in the lobby for your transfer to Antsirabe to mark the beginning of the next chapter of your adventure.

Radisson Hotel Tamboho Waterfront Antananarivo
After a 4-hour drive through the lush Highlands, you arrive in Antsirabe on Day 2. Your trip includes a stop in Ambatolampy to see traditional aluminium workshops before settling into Plumeria Hotel Antsirabe for a 2-night Half Board stay in a Twin Room. You can even explore the city via a local "pousse-pousse" ride! Day 3 features a 3 to 5-hour guided trek through iconic red-brick villages and rice fields, including a scenic picnic lunch. This immersive walk encourages local youth guides while you meet traditional blacksmiths and farmers. After a delightful breakfast on Day 4, you leave for Ranomafana.

After a 7-hour journey through the winding Betsileo highlands, you arrive at Hotel Thermal. Enjoy a 2-night Half-Board stay in a Superior Room. Your trip includes an immersive stop in Ambositra, the capital of Malagasy craft, to visit Zafimaniry woodcarving workshops and find unique marquetry. On Day 5, you explore the lush Ranomafana National Park on a guided 5-hour trek through its primary rainforest, with chances to spot rare Golden Bamboo lemurs and distinctive plant species. After visiting a local village, the day wraps up with an exciting night safari in search of mouse lemurs and sleeping chameleons. On Day 6, you leave for Ranohira, the gateway to Isalo National Park.

After a 7-hour journey across the vast Ihorombe plateau, dotted with giant termite mounds, you arrive in Ranohira on Day 6. Your drive features a fascinating stop at the Antemoro paper factory to see ancient mulberry bark techniques and a visit to Anja Reserve to meet lemurs at the foot of massive granite cliffs. You check into Isalo Rock Lodge for a 2-night Half Board stay in a Standard Room. Day 7 allows you the chance to explore Isalo National Park, where you trek through Jurassic sandstone canyons and “ruiniform” plateaus. After a picnic lunch in the Tapia forest, you can cool off in a natural pool while spotting endemic flora like Pachypodium. On Day 8, you will leave for the coastal village of Ifaty.

After an 8-hour journey toward the sapphire waters of the Mozambique Channel, you arrive in Ifaty on Day 8. The drive from Ranohira is a visual treat, transitioning from rugged canyons to coastal plains. You stop to see the famous Mahafaly tombs, known for their intricate paintings and wooden "aloalo" sculptures, and visit the bustling Tulear market. You then settle into a private Villa at Les Dunes d’Ifaty for a 2-night Half Board stay. Day 9 is yours to enjoy at leisure: dive into the lagoon, ride a traditional dugout with Vezo fishermen, or trek the inland spiny forest to see ancient baobabs and octopus trees.
On Day 10, you say goodbye to your Madagascar holiday as you leave for Tulear Airport for your flight back to Antananarivo. From TNR, you catch your international flight back home to London.
