After breakfast, say goodbye to the Mara and travel through Kenya’s "breadbasket," where golden fields of wheat and barley stretch as far as the eye can see. You will head north across the Rift Valley floor, so make sure to keep your camera ready as giraffes often pop up along the roadside. You will reach your lodge at midday at Lake Elementaita, just in time for lunch in the shadow of the "Sleeping Warrior" hill. After lunch, you will head into Lake Nakuru National Park. This park is famous for its bright pink flamingos and is a safe home for both Black and White Rhinos. You might even see the rare Rothschild Giraffe! After a fun day of exploring, you will head back to your lodge for a tasty dinner and a quiet night by the water.
