About the hotel
Le Méridien Maldives Resort & Spa sits on Thilamaafushi Island in Lhaviyani Atoll, surrounded by a lagoon and coral reef. The nine-hectare resort has 134 villas, including 97 overwater villas and 37 beach villas. Its clean, mid-century-inspired design uses muted colours and renewable materials. Couples and honeymooners can choose private overwater stays, while families have beach villas and larger accommodation options.
There are six restaurants and bars, two swimming pools, Waves Fitness Centre and Explore Spa, where six treatment rooms sit above the lagoon. Families can use the complimentary Kids Hub, with activities covering art, island nature and marine conservation. Guests can also snorkel the house reef, dive, try watersports or visit the Marine Hub. Guests travel from Velana International Airport (MLE) by shared seaplane, taking around 35–50 minutes depending on the route and conditions. Seaplanes usually operate between 06:00 and 16:00, so international arrivals should land by 15:30 and departing flights should leave from 09:00 onwards.
