The Jr. Suite is the entry-level room category and a practical choice for travellers who want sea views without paying for direct beach access or an overwater setting. At 40 sqm, these Junior Suites are located within villas around the resort and come with a private balcony facing the sea.
Choose the Suite - overwater if staying above the sea is an important part of your Maldives holiday. At 47 sqm, it offers more space than either Junior Suite category and places you directly over the water with sea views.
The Suite with private pool - overwater is the largest accommodation category at Hotel Riu Palace Maldivas. Measuring 60 sqm, it combines an overwater location and sea view with its own private pool and terrace.
The Junior Suite with beach access is designed for travellers who want to step straight from their accommodation onto the beach. It measures 40 sqm and comes with a sea view and a terrace with direct beach access.
Palm is the hotel’s main buffet restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The selection includes hot and cold dishes, live cooking stations, desserts and vegetarian options, with two special dinner evenings held each week.
Krystal offers fusion cuisine served à la carte at dinner. Its menu includes meat, fish and vegetarian dishes, giving guests a more focused alternative to the larger buffet selection at Palm.
Yu Hi is the Japanese restaurant at Hotel Riu Palace Maldivas and serves à la carte dinner. RIU describes the menu as a selection of typical Japanese dishes.
Sofia is at neighbouring Hotel Riu Atoll and is available to Hotel Riu Palace Maldivas guests. It serves Italian cuisine at dinner, with appetisers, pizzas, pasta and desserts included in RIU’s official description.
Beef Steak House is located at Hotel Riu Atoll and can also be used by Palace guests. RIU lists a continental, brunch-style breakfast here, along with a dinner menu.
Paradise is the pool bar at Hotel Riu Palace Maldivas, set beside the sea-facing infinity pool. It includes a swim-up bar for guests aged 18 and over, making it an easy place to stop for drinks while spending the day around the pool.
Boduberu is the lounge bar at neighbouring Hotel Riu Atoll and has an outdoor terrace. Hotel Riu Palace Maldivas guests can use it when visiting the Maafushi side of the resort, giving them another setting for drinks away from the pool.
The Sports bar at neighbouring Hotel Riu Atoll is open 24 hours and is available to Hotel Riu Palace Maldivas guests. Alongside showing sporting events, it serves drinks and snacks around the clock, making it particularly useful outside the main restaurant opening times.
Hotel Riu Palace Maldivas has direct access to the white-sand beach around Kedhigandu Island, with sun loungers available for guests. It works well for days when you simply want to stay close to the sand and sea without planning an organised activity.
Hotel Riu Palace Maldivas has a sea-facing infinity pool with a swim-up bar. It gives guests another place to relax during the day without leaving the main Palace area.
RIU Land is the children’s activity programme at neighbouring Hotel Riu Atoll. It gives younger guests organised entertainment during the holiday and offers families an alternative to spending every day at the beach or pool.
Hotel Riu Palace Maldivas guests can use the gym at neighbouring Hotel Riu Atoll. The gym is for guests aged 18 and over, and sports shoes are required when using the facilities.
Water sports are available at neighbouring Hotel Riu Atoll. Included activities currently listed by RIU include kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding and pedalos, with snorkelling equipment also available.
Renova Spa is located at neighbouring Hotel Riu Atoll and is available to Hotel Riu Palace Maldivas guests. It offers massages, body and facial treatments, along with hair and beauty services, all available at an additional charge.
Hotel Riu Palace Maldivas offers daytime entertainment for adults, along with live music, shows and DJ sessions around sunset. This gives guests organised options once they have finished at the beach or pool.
Hotel Riu Palace Maldivas is on Kedhigandu Island in Dhaalu Atoll. From Velana International Airport, guests can take an approximately 45-minute Manta Air flight to Kudahuvadhoo Airport, followed by a 15-minute dhoni, or travel directly by seaplane in around 50–60 minutes. RIU states that return airport transfers must be booked.
