Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel before setting out to discover the remarkable Mutianyu Great Wall, one of the best-preserved stretches of the legendary Great Wall of China. A scenic cable car ride takes you up to this magnificent structure, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. Originally initiated in the 5th century BC and later unified and expanded under Emperor Qin Shi Huang in the 3rd century BC, the wall extends over 21,000 kilometres, reaching from the Korean border to the Gobi Desert and once serving as a vital defence line along the Silk Road.
After this, in the evening, you will explore Qianmen Street, one of Beijing’s most historic and atmospheric districts. Stretching along the city’s central axis, this centuries-old thoroughfare comes alive after dark with colourful lanterns, illuminated façades, and a vibrant local atmosphere. As you wander along its traditional stone-paved streets, you will admire views of the impressive Zhengyangmen Arrow Tower and experience the character of old Beijing. You may choose to ride a heritage-style tram, browse bustling pedestrian lanes, and discover renowned food quarters filled with local delicacies. Afterwards, you will return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Beijing.
Today, you will be heading to the next destination, Xi’an. Meet our representative who will help with your transfer to the railway station for a high-speed train journey to Xi'an. Upon arrival, your local guide will greet you and escort you back to your hotel before beginning your sightseeing program.
During the evening, you will discover the lively atmosphere of Qianmen Street, a historic avenue that has been an important part of Beijing for centuries. Beautifully illuminated after sunset, the area is lined with traditional architecture, colourful lanterns, and bustling local shops. Here, you will witness thousands of life-sized clay soldiers, horses, and chariots created to guard the tomb of China’s First Emperor more than 2,200 years ago. Following breakfast, you will set out for Leshan, home to one of the most extraordinary monuments in China. Overlooking the confluence of three rivers, the colossal Leshan Giant Buddha has stood watch over the landscape for more than a millennium. Sculpted into the mountainside and reaching a height of 71 metres, it represents an exceptional achievement of ancient engineering and artistry. Recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the statue continues to attract visitors from around the world. During your visit, you will also take a scenic river cruise, providing a memorable vantage point from which to admire the sheer scale and setting of this iconic landmark.
Have a hearty breakfast, and you will take a flight from Chengdu to Lijiang. Upon landing, your local driver and guide will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel for check-in. Later, you will explore Black Dragon Pool Park, where tranquil waters reflect snow-capped peaks and classical gardens create a peaceful setting. You will set out for a full-day excursion to Yulong Snow Mountain, ascending by glacier cable car to the 4,506-meter viewing platform for spectacular alpine vistas. You will explore Gan Haizi, the clear waters of Baishui River, and Blue Moon Valley by shuttle, admiring its vivid blue lakes. Later, you will visit Yushui Village to discover Naxi Dongba culture, watch Impression Lijiang, and stay overnight in Lijiang.
Today, you will get a chance to explore Tiger Leaping Gorge, among the world’s deepest canyons carved by the Jinsha River. Take in the roaring waters, dramatic cliffs, and striking mountain landscapes before continuing to Lijiang for a comfortable overnight stay.
