Itinerary
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will receive assistance with customs and immigration before meeting your guide. A comfortable transfer will take you to your accommodation for the night. Settle in at the charming Boma Guest House, where you’ll enjoy a peaceful evening, dinner, and an overnight stay. It will be a 1 night stay here in your double room with meals provided on a half-board basis, ensuring a relaxing start to your Ugandan journey. This welcoming introduction sets the tone for the adventures that lie ahead on this trip.

The Boma Hotel
As soon as you complete your breakfast, you will leave your excess luggage at the hotel for later pickup, unless it was already transferred by road if you arrived the previous morning. With only your 15kg travel bag, you’ll head to Entebbe Airport for a morning flight to Kasese. Upon arriving at Kasese, your guide will drive you to Kibale. After check-in at your lodge, you can spend the late afternoon exploring Bigodi Swamp. You will be staying at the Turaco Treetop Double Cottage for the next 2 nights. It will be a full-board service at the lodge.

After an early breakfast, you’ll head to the park headquarters for a briefing before setting off into the forest with ranger guides, who will lead you to the chimpanzees’ last known nesting site. If you're early, you may catch them waking. You'll track and observe one group for up to four hours, witnessing behaviours like feeding, grooming, nursing, patrolling, and nesting. Along the way, spot other primates such as Olive Baboons, Red Tailed and Colobus Monkeys, plus a variety of birdlife. Afterwards, return to the lodge for relaxation.
Quickly post breakfast at the lodge, you will have to depart with a packed lunch for Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda’s top destinations. The park boasts a rich mix of landscapes, savannas, forests, lakes, and wetlands. It supports a variety of wildlife, including chimpanzees, big game, and over 600 bird species. With the Rwenzori Mountains as a dramatic backdrop, highlights include crater-dotted hills, the Kazinga Channel teeming with hippos and buffalo, and the Ishasha plains, where tree-climbing lions stalk Uganda Kob beneath towering fig trees. You will be staying at the Marafiki Safari Lodge in Double Cottage for the next 2 nights, and it will be a full-board service.

Begin the day with a rewarding game drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park, offering excellent chances to spot wildlife such as elephants, lions, buffalo, and various antelope species. Later, return to the lodge for a relaxing lunch before heading out for a scenic boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a 32-kilometre natural waterway linking Lake George and Lake Edward. This stretch is a prime location for observing animals and birds at close range and stands out as one of the park’s most iconic features, showcasing its rich biodiversity and expansive landscapes.
You will be departing from Queen Elizabeth National Park, and the journey continues to the Ishasha sector. It is renowned for its rare tree-climbing lions. Elevated in trees, these predators also gain an advantage in spotting prey. The area is rich in wildlife, offering sightings of Ugandan kob, elephants, buffalo, hippos, and zebras. A game drive through this unique region offers excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing before arriving at the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay amidst the wilderness. You will be staying at the Enjojo Lodge in Double Cottage for 1 night with Full Board service.

Enjojo Lodge operates entirely on solar power and is constructed using locally sourced materials, with much of the furniture and decor handcrafted by the local community. Guests can enjoy homemade meals from the lodge's organic garden in the grass-thatched restaurant and bar, which overlooks a small natural lake frequented by wildlife.
Start your day with a game drive through Ishasha, offering the chance to spot unique wildlife including hyenas, fish eagles, and possibly another encounter with the famous tree-climbing lions. From there, the journey continues to Bwindi National Park, home to over 300 mountain gorillas, nearly half of the species’ global population. You will be spending the rest of the 3 nights at Mahogany Springs Lodge in one of their Double Cottages with Full Board.

It is the beginning of your thrilling mountain gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site nestled in southwestern Uganda. Equipped with essentials like drinking water, rain gear, and hiking boots, you'll explore the dense forest on foot alongside expert rangers. As you navigate the rich ecosystem, home to over 90 mammals, 11 primates, 348 bird species, and numerous endemic flora and fauna, you'll encounter the awe-inspiring Mountain Gorillas. After an unforgettable trek, return to the lodge for a well-deserved lunch and a relaxing evening.
Following a morning briefing, you'll head back into the park for a second day of gorilla trekking in the renowned Buhoma sector. This area, first introduced to tourism with the Mubare family in 1993, has grown to host multiple habituated groups, including Rushegura and Habiyanja. Each trek offers a unique experience, as you navigate the dense forest in search of these majestic primates. With each encounter, the connection to Uganda’s natural beauty deepens, making this journey through Buhoma both adventurous and unforgettable.
Now the last day you will be checking out of your stay at the lodge, you’ll check out and head to Kihihi airstrip for your scheduled flight to Entebbe. A packed lunch will be provided for the journey. Your luggage will be transferred separately and delivered directly to you at the airport, in time for your international departure.
