The Junior Suite suits couples who want generous space without moving into a private-pool category. It is on the upper floor in a quieter part of one of the resort’s six crescents, with a bedroom opening into a separate lounge area and balcony.
The Tropical Junior Suite is on the ground floor, with a private terrace facing the tropical gardens and pool at the centre of the crescent. It suits guests who prefer to be closer to the outdoor areas rather than staying on an upper floor.
The Tropical Junior Suite Plus is available on either the ground or first floor, overlooking the tropical gardens and pool within the crescent. Depending on the floor, guests have either a private terrace or balcony.
The Beachfront Senior Suite with Pool is for guests who want more living space, a private pool and a position close to the beach. Set on the top floor, the suite looks across the beach and sea, with a separate living area opening onto its terrace.
The Beachfront Suite with Pool places guests a few steps from the beach and combines indoor living space with a private plunge pool and wooden deck. It suits couples or small families who want their own pool without moving into a larger villa.
The 2-Bedroom Family Suite gives families separate sleeping areas within one accommodation unit. It looks towards the gardens and crescent pool and has a master bedroom plus a second bedroom with its own bathroom.
The 3-Bedroom Pool Villa is designed for larger families or groups who want more privacy and their own living space. It has two master bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and a third bedroom arranged for children.
This ground-floor suite is designed for families who want two bedrooms, a private pool and a beachfront position. It overlooks the lagoon, with floor-to-ceiling windows opening the living spaces towards the water.
The 2-Bedroom Pool Villa gives families two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms alongside a large indoor and outdoor living area. A fully equipped kitchen opens into the main living space, making the villa useful for families who want more independence during their stay.
L'Oasis is the resort’s main restaurant, set beside the main pool with views towards the sea. It serves buffet breakfast and dinner, with lunch and afternoon pancakes and ice cream also available.
La Caravelle focuses on Mauritian cuisine, drawing on Indian, Chinese, Western and Creole influences. Buffet breakfast is followed by à la carte lunch and dinner, giving guests a more local alternative to the resort’s international buffet.
Il Corallo is the resort’s Italian restaurant and opens for dinner according to the weekly programme. Its menu is based on Italian and Mediterranean cooking, with an intimate setting facing towards the beach.
La Plage sits beside the beach and swimming pool with the lagoon close by. It serves lunch and dinner, making it convenient for guests who want to stay near the water rather than returning to the main restaurant area.
Blue Ginger serves Asian fusion food influenced by Thailand, Japan and China. It is open for dinner and has a visible kitchen where diners can watch the chefs at work.
Mahiya is the resort’s Indian restaurant, with food influenced by northern India and other regional traditions. Traditional tableware and live sitar music give the restaurant a clear identity within the resort.
La Caravelle Bar is close to the beach and stays open throughout the day and evening. Its selection includes flavoured rums and Champagne, with cigars also available.
L'Oasis Bar is beside the main pool and remains open until after midnight. Drinks are available throughout the day, while a light pool-bar lunch is served from 12:30 to 17:00.
Spa Beachcomber covers 2,897 sqm, with separate areas for treatments, steam facilities and relaxation. It has 17 massage rooms, including spaces suitable for individual and couples’ treatments, alongside a balneotherapy room and two Vichy shower rooms.
The Fitness Centre is open to guests aged 16 and over. It includes a fitness and bodybuilding room, an aerobics and spinning room and a Technogym cardio room, as well as two hammams.
The resort has six floodlit tennis courts, including four hard courts and two artificial-grass courts. Table tennis, beach volleyball and bocciball are also available.
The Boat House runs a broad programme of activities on the lagoon. Guests can try water-skiing, windsurfing, sailing, Hobie Cats, kayaking, pedal boats, stand-up paddleboarding, aquagym and wakeboarding.
The on-site Diving Centre offers introductory and certified diving from age 10. Beginners can take an introductory dive at the barrier reef with a personal instructor at depths of 2 to 6 metres.
Guests have privileged access to Mont Choisy Le Golf and Paradis Golf Club, both 18-hole par-72 courses. Mont Choisy Le Golf was designed by Peter Matkovich and has its own practice facilities.
The complimentary Kids Club is for children aged 3 to 11 and has its own private garden, swimming pool and restaurant.
The complimentary Teens Club is for guests aged 12 to 17, with activities designed separately from the younger Kids Club.
Families travelling with younger children have access to a complimentary baby-care area. Free weekday babysitting is available from 13:00 to 16:00 for children aged 1 to 3.
The resort has a main swimming pool as well as pools within its accommodation crescents. Two crescent pools are tempered during winter, depending on temperatures.
External providers offer additional activities and excursions departing from the hotel. Options listed by the resort include undersea walks, submarine experiences and sub-scooter trips.
Trou aux Biches Beachcomber has venues for weddings and special events, including options for exclusive use. Restaurant privatisation can also be arranged for groups of 30 to 180 guests.
Trou aux Biches Beachcomber is on Royal Road in Trou aux Biches, Triolet, on Mauritius’ north-west coast. The resort sits directly beside the beach and lagoon, around 70 km from the airport and 20 km from Port Louis. Its position gives guests a beachfront base in northern Mauritius while keeping the capital within reach.
Transfer details: Trou aux Biches Beachcomber is 70 km from Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport. Licensed airport taxis provide road transfers to Trou aux Biches, with an estimated journey time of around 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on traffic, weather and local conditions.
