Itinerary
Your Colombia tour starts in Bogotá, the capital city located high in the Andes mountains. On arrival at the airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for a 2-night stay. The remainder of the day is free to rest after your journey.

You will join a guided Colombia city tour covering the main highlights of Bogotá. The tour includes a visit to La Concordia Food Market, where you can try local produce and traditional Colombian flavours, before continuing to La Candelaria, the city’s historic centre, known for its colonial streets and public squares, along with visits to key landmarks within the area. You will also visit the Gold Museum, which houses one of the most important collections of pre-Hispanic gold artefacts in South America. From there, the itinerary continues to Monserrate Hill, accessed by cable car, offering wide views across the city.
After breakfast, an excursion is included to Zipaquirá, where the Salt Cathedral is located inside an underground salt mine, built as a place of worship and considered one of Colombia’s most distinctive sites. Following the visit, you will transfer to the airport for your flight to Medellín. Upon arrival in Medellín, you will be transferred to your hotel for a nice restful night.

The city is known for its contrasting districts, where modern developments sit alongside more traditional neighbourhoods. A guided tour will take you through selected areas of Medellín, covering key public spaces and districts that reflect the city’s transformation over recent years. Highlights include Botero Square, Comuna 13 and a ride on the Metrocable, offering insight into the city’s remarkable regeneration and culture.
A full-day excursion is included to Guatapé. The journey takes you outside Medellín to a lakeside town known for its brightly painted buildings (zócalos). From here, you will proceed to El Peñol Rock, where a zigzagging staircase with 740 steps leads to a 360-degree viewing point at the top with wide views of the surrounding reservoir landscape. The excursion also includes a traditional lunch and time to enjoy the scenic surroundings of the Guatapé reservoir.
After returning to Medellín, the remainder of the time is at leisure. Overnight stays are in the city before continuing to the next stage of your Colombia holiday deal.
You will continue your Colombia holiday with a flight from Medellín to Cartagena and transfer to your hotel on arrival. The city is located on Colombia’s Caribbean coast and is well-renowned for its historic, UNESCO-listed walled historic centre and preserved colonial architecture.
During your stay, a guided walking tour will cover the main highlights of the old town, including key plazas, streets, and heritage buildings. The area is compact, making it easy to explore further at your own pace once you are familiar with the layout.
The remainder of your time in Cartagena is free for independent exploration. Most activity is centred around the old town, where cafés, restaurants, and local shops are within walking distance. Afterward, you will head back to your hotel for the night before catching your flight to Bogotá the other day.

You will continue your Colombia holiday with a flight from Medellín to Cartagena and transfer to your hotel on arrival. The city is located on Colombia’s Caribbean coast and is well-renowned for its historic, UNESCO-listed walled historic centre and preserved colonial architecture.

During your stay, a guided walking tour will cover the main highlights of the old town, including key plazas, streets, and heritage buildings. The tour also includes visits to the Castle of San Felipe and the Convent of San Pedro Claver, two of Cartagena’s most important historic landmarks. The area is compact, making it easy to explore further at your own pace once you are familiar with the layout. In the evening, if you wish, you may join an optional bay cruise with dinner, offering a different perspective of Cartagena after dark.
The day in Cartagena is free for independent exploration. Most activity is centred around the old town, where cafés, restaurants, and local shops are within walking distance. A full day at leisure is included, with the option to explore independently or join optional excursions to Barú Island, San Basilio de Palenque, La Boquilla's mangrove and drumming experiences, or even a salsa dancing class.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Cartagena Airport for your onward flight to London via Bogotá, marking the end of your Colombia holiday deal.
