Your holiday begins in Zurich, where a private transfer takes you from the airport to your luxury city hotel. You will spend two nights here on a bed and breakfast basis, with time to relax or explore the city at your own pace. Linger over a long breakfast, unwind in your room or settle in for an indulgent dinner if a quieter day appeals. If you wish to explore, the Old Town’s cobbled lanes lead to the twin towers of the Grossmünster and the Chagall windows of the Fraumünster, while the lakeside promenades and the designer boutiques and chocolatiers of Bahnhofstrasse are all close by. After breakfast on Day 3, you will travel by first-class train to Lucerne.
As you arrive at Lake Lucerne, three nights on a bed and breakfast basis await, with views across Lake Lucerne and the surrounding mountains. This is a stay made for slowing down, whether that means soaking up the views, unwinding in the spa and wellness facilities or doing very little at all. If the mood takes you, Lucerne’s Old Town and the famous Chapel Bridge are a short journey away, as are lake cruises and mountain excursions to Pilatus or Rigi, all to be enjoyed independently. After breakfast on Day 6, you will make your way to the railway station for your first-class train journey to Arosa.
On arrival in Arosa, you will spend three nights on a bed and breakfast basis in a destination that rewards an unhurried pace. Enjoy slow mornings over breakfast, sweeping Alpine views and the spa and wellness facilities. If you wish to explore, scenic walking trails and cable cars rise from the village, and the Arosa Bear Sanctuary makes a charming stop, all to be enjoyed independently. Depending on the season, hiking and skiing are close by too. After breakfast on Day 9, you will travel by first-class train to Zurich Airport for your onward journey to Amsterdam.
On arrival in Amsterdam, an airport transfer takes you to your luxury hotel for two nights on a bed and breakfast basis, with no set agenda and the freedom to unwind in your own time. Enjoy lazy breakfasts, café stops and an unhurried dinner nearby. If you wish to explore, the city’s canals, the Jordaan neighbourhood, the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum are close at hand, and a canal cruise is a popular way to see it all, independently. After breakfast on Day 11, a private transfer takes you to the airport for your flight back to London. You will leave with memories of Switzerland and Amsterdam.
