The Overwater & Beach Escape lets guests experience both a beach villa and an overwater villa during the same holiday. The Overwater Pool Villa Sunrise is a 234 sqm villa set over the water with a sunrise sea view. Its one-bedroom layout works well for couples and small families who want an overwater stay with plenty of room inside and out.
The Beach Pool Villa Sunrise gives guests 248 sqm of space in a beach setting with a sunrise view. The villas sit among tropical vegetation and have private beach access, making this a good choice for couples or small families who prefer staying on the island rather than over the water.
The Overwater Pool Villa Sunset has a 234 sqm layout and faces the sunset side of the resort. It suits couples who want an overwater villa and expect to spend late afternoons around their own pool and deck, with the evening light forming a natural part of the stay.
The Beach Pool Villa Sunset combines a 248 sqm layout with a sunset-facing beach position. Choose this category if you prefer being on the island, with private beach access close by and more space than the standard overwater villas.
The Duplex Overwater Pool Villa is the larger overwater choice, with 274 sqm of space arranged across a more flexible layout. It sleeps up to four guests with a king bed and sofa bed, making it useful for families as well as couples who want separate areas for relaxing.
At 285 sqm, the Two-Bedroom Duplex Beach Pool Villa is the largest accommodation category in the collection and is designed for families or friends travelling together. It has two bedrooms across a duplex layout, with one king bed, two Twin beds and a sofa bed. Maximum occupancy is five.
RIHA is a beachfront dining experience built around an eight-course menu inspired by different regions and flavours of India. It suits guests who want a longer dinner with a set progression of courses rather than a standard à la carte meal.
Kaashi serves Thai food from a treetop setting with panoramic views across the Indian Ocean. Open for lunch, it offers a very different setting from the resort’s beach and poolside restaurants and works well for guests who want a proper midday meal away from the main pool area.
Aailaa is the resort’s beachfront all-day dining restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is offered as a buffet with live cooking stations, while lunch and dinner are served à la carte. Its international menu makes it useful when different people in the same group want a wider choice.
Fiamma is an open-air Italian restaurant beside the pool, serving lunch from midday. The menu includes risotto, pasta and wood-fired pizza, making it a straightforward choice for guests who want familiar Italian food during a pool or beach day.
Hashi is an overwater Japanese restaurant where teppanyaki chefs cook in front of guests. The menu centres on Japanese dishes, with sake available alongside the food.
Shio is the resort’s beachfront signature grill restaurant, serving prime cuts of meat and fresh seafood. The restaurant is positioned as a fine-dining option and offers an extensive wine selection to accompany dinner.
Rum Baan sits beside Kaashi in the treetops and specialises in rum. Its collection includes 98 signature rums from around the world, alongside Thai-inspired rum cocktails.
Horizon is the resort’s beachfront pool bar, serving drinks from late morning until midnight. Its menu includes cocktails, mocktails, spirits, beer and non-alcoholic drinks.
Wabi Sabi overlooks the Laccadive Sea and focuses on Japanese-inspired drinks. The bar serves Japanese whisky, wine and hand-crafted cocktails, including signature smoked cocktails.
Luxury Romance is a private set dinner served on the beach for two. It gives couples a quieter alternative to the resort’s main restaurants, with the meal arranged in a separate beachfront setting.
The Malafaaiy Dinner combines traditional Maldivian food with local music and entertainment. The beachfront meal is accompanied by bodu beru drumming, singing and clapping to Maldivian songs.
The Wine Room is located within Aailaa and holds 1,620 bottles across 320 labels from Old and New World producers. The focus here is wine and food pairing rather than a conventional bar experience.
Italian Dinner at the Wine Room is a four-course meal paired with four different glasses of wine. It is designed around matching Italian food with wine rather than simply choosing a bottle alongside dinner.
Set over the water, Spa by JW has six couples' treatment rooms and one deluxe treatment suite, with views across the Indian Ocean. Treatments cover massages, facials, body scrubs and wraps, scalp and hair treatments, manicures and pedicures, while in-suite massages, fitness classes and fitness counselling are also offered.
Wellness by JW gives guests several ways to add movement or mindfulness to their stay. Available sessions include a Personal Training Session, Personal Yoga Class and Guided Meditation.
A Personal Yoga Class is available through Wellness by JW for guests who want to include yoga in their holiday routine. It can be paired naturally with spa time, swimming or a quieter day around the island.

The Dive & Water Sports Centre handles daily diving, snorkelling, dolphin-watching and fishing excursions. It is also the place to arrange equipment for several surface water sports.
Unleash Your Inner Artist brings recycling into the children's activity programme. Sessions use materials such as plastic bottles, paper cups and cardboard rolls for arts and crafts rather than simply throwing them away.
Daily Dolphin Watching excursions are available through the Dive & Water Sports Centre. These boat trips give guests an opportunity to look for dolphins away from the island.
The Multipurpose Playground - Volleyball and Soccer Courts is in the centre of the island and is set up for both football and volleyball. Guests can use the courts for friendly matches or training, giving active travellers a land-based option between days on the water.
Horizon Pool is one of the resort's outdoor swimming pools, with private cabanas available beside the pool. It is suited to guests who want to spend part of the day swimming and relaxing close to the beach.
Pool 18 is the resort's adults-only infinity pool, with open sea views and sun loungers around the pool area. The adults-only setting makes it different from Horizon Pool and the children's pool at Little Griffins.
Little Griffin's Pool is the separate outdoor children's swimming pool within the resort's Family by JW™ facilities. It gives younger guests their own place to swim close to Little Griffins Kids' Club.
Cabanas are available at Horizon Pool and along the beachfront. They give guests a shaded base for a slower day spent between the pool and sea.

Daily Fishing excursions give guests another way to spend time on the water beyond diving, snorkelling and water sports. Trips are arranged through the Dive & Water Sports Centre.

JW Marriott Maldives Resort & Spa is on Vagaru Island in Shaviyani Atoll, 192 km from Velana International Airport. Guests are met at the airport by a Marriott Welcome Ambassador, who assists with seaplane check-in before the direct 55-minute flight to the island. International flights should arrive by 3.00 pm, with departures recommended after 9.00 am.
