The Deluxe Studio is a straightforward choice for two guests who want kitchen facilities without a separate living room. It has a king bed, a kitchenette with a microwave, refrigerator and stove top, plus a private bathroom with shower.
The Junior Suite adds a separate seating area and sofa bed, making it useful for couples who want more room or parents travelling with one child. It has a king bed, with most Junior Suites also offering king or twin bedding configurations.
The Honeymoon Suite is set on the top floor and is designed for two guests. Its main feature is a private sun deck overlooking the ocean, pools and gardens, giving couples more outdoor space than the standard studio and junior suite categories.
The Deluxe One Bedroom Suite has a separate bedroom and living room, making it easier for families to share the suite without using one open-plan space. The bedroom can have a king bed, with twin beds available on request in many suites, while a small number have two double beds. A sofa bed is provided in the living room.
The One Bedroom Penthouse is located on the west side of the resort and comes in single-level or multi-level layouts. It has a separate bedroom with a king bed and a living room with a sofa bed, giving up to four guests more defined living space.
The Deluxe Two Bedroom Suite is designed for families and friends who need two bedrooms and shared living space. Bedding includes king beds, or one king and one queen bed, with a sofa bed in the living room for additional sleeping space.
The Two Bedroom Beachfront Suite is a beachfront two-bedroom option for families and groups. It accommodates up to six guests and includes multiple furnished balconies and terraces. The master bedroom has a king bed, while the second bedroom can have a king, queen or two twin beds on request. A queen sofa bed provides additional sleeping space in the living room.
Calabash Beach Bistro overlooks Maxwell Beach and is the hotel’s main restaurant. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a mix of international dishes and local flavours. The menu includes seafood, salads, sandwiches and other mains, while cocktails are also available.
Deia Beach is located on the east side of Bougainvillea Barbados and operates independently from the hotel. Its Mediterranean menu is available throughout the day, with breakfast, daytime dining and evening meals covered by its daily opening hours.
The Swim-up Bar is part of the adults-only pool area and is intended for drinks while guests spend time by or in the pool. It offers cocktails and other drinks in a setting separate from the hotel’s restaurants.
Karma Spa & Salon offers massages, skincare, beauty treatments and hairstyling in a secluded part of the resort. Treatments include private and couples’ massages, facials, scrubs, body treatments, manicures, pedicures and waxing, with Elemis skincare products used across the spa.
The air-conditioned Fitness Centre has equipment for both cardio and strength training. Cardio options include treadmills, spin bikes, a Concept 2 rowing machine, stair climber and elliptical cross trainer.
Kayaking, paddle boarding and boogie boarding are complimentary beach activities for guests who want more than swimming and sunbathing. They are available from the resort’s beach and suit couples, families and active travellers.
Maxwell Beach gives guests direct access to the sea from the resort. Guests can swim when conditions allow, with beach flags used when sea conditions require extra caution.
The Games Room gives families an indoor option between time at the beach and pools. Guests can play pool, foosball and table tennis, while a PlayStation 4 is also available.
Kids Club is the resort’s supervised facility for children aged 3 to 11. It operates Monday to Saturday and includes activities, games and pool time, with Kids Club Coordinators providing supervision.
Bougainvillea Barbados has two swimming pools. Families can use the meandering waterfall pool, while adults have a separate adults-only pool.
Friday Steelpan Experience adds a Barbadian music experience to the resort programme. It is suited to guests who want to include a local cultural activity during their stay.
Thursday Sip and Paint adds a creative organised activity to the weekly resort programme. It suits couples, friends and families looking for something different from beach and pool time.
The hotel’s Concierge can help guests arrange experiences around Barbados. Official recommendations include Catamaran Cruises, Island Safari, Harbour Lights Dinner Show, Atlantis Submarine and Hunte's Gardens.
Bougainvillea Barbados is on Maxwell Coast Road in Christ Church, on the south coast of Barbados. The hotel is around 15 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from Bridgetown, while Oistins and St. Lawrence Gap are both about five minutes away by car. Taxis are available outside the airport Arrivals Hall, or guests can pre-book a Meet & Greet taxi through the hotel’s Concierge.
