Barcelo Coconut Island Phuket
About the hotel
Barceló Coconut Island is a 5-star resort located on Koh Maphrao, situated 500 meters off the east coast of Phuket, Thailand. Transitioned from its former identity as The Village Coconut Island, the property features 266 accommodations, categorised into newly renovated LUX suites, outdoor Jacuzzi suites, and Grand Pool Villas ranging from one to five bedrooms. All visitors can access the secluded island via a complimentary, 24-hour water taxi service that takes five to seven minutes from Phuket’s Laem Hin Lagoon Pier.
The resort spans 500 meters of private beachfront overlooking Phang Nga Bay. Its updated amenities include two main infinity-edge swimming pools with water slides, the KAHTOR Spa with a hydrotherapy pool, a modernised fitness centre, outdoor tennis courts, a cooking class studio, and professional sailing and kayaking facilities. For families, the resort operates a brand-new kids' club and playground.
Coming to the dining options, the property consists of five distinct venues: LAKU Beach Club for Mediterranean dishes and seafood, KABANG for traditional Thai and Asian cuisine, KUCINA for wood-fired Italian pizzas, KOKO for Japanese fusion fine dining, and the NAGA Lobby Lounge for afternoon tea and tapas. The property provides complimentary Wi-Fi and comprehensive water sports gear. This upscale destination balances isolated tranquillity with efficient mainland connectivity, catering primarily to families, couples, and luxury travellers seeking an all-inclusive island experience.
