The Beach Pool Villa places the sand and sea just beyond the terrace, with a private pool set into the outdoor space. Renovated in July 2025, it uses neutral tones and natural materials, with an expanded outdoor sala adding more space beside the private pool.
The Over Water Pool Villa sits directly above the lagoon, with steps leading from the deck into the water. Floor-to-ceiling sliding doors open onto a private deck with an infinity-edge pool and overwater hammock, while steps from the sundeck lead directly into the water.
The west-facing position is the main reason to choose the Sunset Over Water Pool Villa. Guests have direct lagoon access alongside ocean and sunset views, with a private veranda, pool and overwater lounge providing plenty of outdoor space.
The Sunset Beach Pool Villa combines direct beach access with a west-facing setting for sunset views. Renovated in July 2025, it has calm interiors, a king bed and a separate bathroom retreat, with the outdoor areas arranged around the private pool.
This overwater villa is designed for families who want to stay above the lagoon without relying on a standard one-bedroom layout. Parents have a king bed, while children have twin beds and a day bed, giving younger guests their own sleeping space within the villa.
The One Bedroom Family Beach Pool Villa is aimed at families who prefer staying beside the beach. Renovated in July 2025, it has a dedicated children's sleeping quarter alongside the main bedroom, allowing parents and children to share one villa without using the same sleeping area.
Families needing two proper bedrooms can choose the Two Bedroom Family Beach Pool Villa. It is made up of two interconnected villas that share a sundeck and private pool, giving adults and children separate sleeping areas while keeping everyone together.
With 1,330 sqm of space, the Two Bedroom Beach Pool Residence gives families and groups considerably more room than the villa categories. Private bedroom areas sit alongside shared indoor and outdoor living spaces, with high vaulted ceilings and hardwood floors.
Set at the very end of the boardwalk, this two-bedroom residence offers extra space and privacy above the water. The two ensuite bedrooms are positioned at opposite ends, and each has its own outdoor living area, giving families or friends room to spend time separately as well as together.
The Three Bedroom Beach Pool Residence is designed for larger families and small groups who want separate bedrooms as well as generous shared space. Each bedroom has an ensuite outdoor bathroom, while the central area brings together the lounge, dining space and a fully equipped kitchen.
The Four Bedroom Beach Pool Residence is the largest accommodation category at Anantara Kihavah. It combines the Three Bedroom Beach Pool Residence with an adjoining Beach Pool Villa, giving extended families and larger groups four interconnected bedrooms within one private area.
SEA is the resort's underwater fine-dining restaurant, reached through the world's first underwater wine cellar. The dining room sits six metres below the surface, with large windows looking out into the surrounding marine environment. The menu focuses on international cooking and speciality caviar.
At FIRE, dinner is centred around the Teppanyaki grill, with guests seated close to the cooking. The restaurant serves Peruvian Japanese food, with the menu covering dishes such as sashimi, seafood and grilled meats.
SPICE is an overwater Asian restaurant with an open show kitchen. The menu draws on cooking styles from across Asia, including tandoori dishes, curries, wok cooking and seafood.
Plates is the resort's beachfront breakfast restaurant, serving Maldivian and international food in an open-air setting. Breakfast includes live cooking stations and à la carte dishes, with coffee, juices and sparkling wine also available.
Manzaru serves guests by the pool throughout the day before moving into Mediterranean and Italian dining for lunch and dinner. The menu includes seafood, familiar comfort dishes and desserts, making it one of the more relaxed places to eat at the resort.
Designer Dining is the resort's private dining option for couples who want to eat away from the main restaurants. Meals can be arranged on the beach or sandbank, aboard a private yacht or in the privacy of a villa.
Elevated Culinary Journeys covers special dining events led by visiting Michelin-starred chefs and other culinary talent. The programme also includes wine dinners hosted by sommeliers, with each event offering something different from the resort's usual restaurant menus.
In-Villa Dining allows guests to eat privately in their villa, residence or dining pavilion. It can be used for breakfast before an excursion, lunch by the pool or dinner without heading to one of the resort's restaurants.
Spice Spoons is a hands-on cooking experience rather than a conventional restaurant. Guests cook alongside a chef and can choose dishes influenced by Maldivian, Thai, Indian and Japanese cooking.
SKY is the resort's rooftop bar, serving drinks and light bites from midday until midnight. Its overwater setting makes it a natural choice for afternoon drinks and sunset cocktails, while the neighbouring observatory gives guests the option to combine the evening with a stargazing session.
Underwater Wine Tasting takes place at SEA and focuses on wines selected by the resort's Wine Guru. Guests can taste a flight of wines in the underwater setting, with the option to pair selected vintages with a meal.
Anantara Spa sits over the water and has six treatment rooms alongside facilities for spending longer between treatments. Guests can choose massages, Ayurvedic treatments and holistic therapies, with warm and cold plunge pools, saunas and a steam room also available.
Ayurvedic treatments use traditional therapies and consultations as part of the resort's wider wellness programme. Options include treatments such as Pizichil and Shirodhara, with programmes tailored around individual wellbeing goals.
Holistic and energy healing sessions form part of Anantara Kihavah's wider wellness offering. They are designed for guests who want to combine physical treatments with relaxation and restorative practices.
Magnesium Wellness Journeys use magnesium-based therapies as part of the resort's wellbeing programme. They can be combined with other treatments and wellness activities during the stay.
These multi-day programmes run for three, five or seven days and bring several wellness activities together. They can include an Ayurveda lifestyle consultation, daily group yoga, breathing and meditation, daily treatments and use of the spa facilities.
The Soulful Detox Programme is one of the resort's named wellness programmes and is designed around a more focused period of wellbeing during the stay.
The Longevity Programme is part of Anantara Kihavah's longer-form wellness offering. It is aimed at travellers who want to give more time to their wellbeing during the holiday.

Marine Biology Courses are available for children aged eight and above and introduce younger guests to the reef and its wildlife. Activities can cover diving, snorkelling, reef ecosystems, biodiversity and conservation.
The house reef can be explored independently or with an instructor on private and group guided sessions. Complimentary snorkelling equipment is provided. The resort also offers night and Fluo Night snorkelling, using specialist lights and mask filters to reveal fluorescent colours across the reef after dark.
Guided snorkelling trips also visit reefs close to the resort. Depending on season and conditions, guests may have opportunities to see different marine life around Baa Atoll.
First-time divers can book a PADI Discover Scuba Dive, while guests who want a qualification can work towards Open Water certification.
House Reef Diving gives qualified divers the chance to explore the reef directly around the resort. One of its best-known sections is the Golden Wall, a vertical stretch of reef that descends to around 30 metres and is covered in golden soft corals.
Seasonal manta-ray snorkelling trips run from May to November and travel to Hanifaru Bay, around 20 minutes from Anantara Kihavah by speedboat. Private and group excursions are available. Hanifaru Bay is a protected snorkelling-only area, so scuba diving is not permitted inside the bay.
This guided snorkelling experience gives guests opportunities to see nurse sharks in the water when conditions allow.
Turtle Quest visits reefs where hawksbill sea turtles feed and rest. Guests snorkel through their natural habitat, with opportunities to see turtles depending on conditions and wildlife movements.
Dolphin Discovery is a boat trip through Baa Atoll with opportunities to see dolphins in their natural environment. Spinner dolphins are the species the resort says are most commonly seen in the area.

Anantara Kihavah offers several official wedding settings, including Beach Wedding, Underwater Wedding, Divers' Wedding and Yacht Wedding.
Anantara Kihavah is on Kihavah Huravalhi Island, Baa Atoll, Maldives, at P.O. Box 2098. From Velana International Airport, guests take a four-minute transfer to the seaplane terminal, followed by a 35-minute seaplane journey. Arrivals after 3.30 pm can fly domestically to Dharavandhoo Airport, then continue by speedboat for 30 minutes. Seaplane transfers operate during daylight hours, so later arrivals are normally routed via Dharavandhoo Airport (DRV). Transfer details: 35-minute seaplane; late arrivals can use a domestic flight to Dharavandhoo followed by a 30-minute speedboat.
