Welcome to Colombia. Upon arrival in Bogotá, you’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Situated high in the Andes at approximately 2,640 metres above sea level, Bogotá combines colonial heritage, contemporary culture, colourful street art, and an increasingly celebrated food scene. Whether you’re exploring the historic district of La Candeleria, visiting one of the city’s many museums, or taking the cable car up Monserrate for panoramic views, Colombia's capital offers a fascinating introduction to the country. The remainder of the day is free to relax or begin exploring Bogotá at your own pace.

After breakfast, head into Bogotá’s historic centre and visit La Concordia Market, where colourful stalls showcase tropical fruits, local produce, and traditional Colombian specialties. Enjoy a taste of local snacks while experiencing one of the city’s most authentic food markets.
Continue to La Candeleria, Bogotá’s historic heart, where colonial architecture, cobbled streets, churches, and vibrant street art reflects the city’s rich cultural heritage. Visit the famous Gold Museum, home to an impressive collection of pre-Hispanic artefacts, before exploring the Botero Museum and its distinctive works by Colombia’s renowned artists, Fernando Botero.
Later, travel to Monserrate Hill and ascend by cable car for spectacular panoramic views across the city and the surrounding Andes.
Remark: The Gold Museum is closed on Mondays and Botero Museum is closed on Tuesdays. The order of visits may vary due to traffic, weather conditions, or operational requirements.
After breakfast, leave Bogotá behind and travel north to Zipaquirá, a historic town best known for its extraordinary Salt Cathedral. Built within a former salt mine, the cathedral sits around 180 metres underground and features a series of chapels, tunnels, and illuminated chambers carved directly into the rock. As you explore the site, you’ll gain an insight into both its religious significance and the mining heritage that shaped the region.
Following your visit, return to Bogotá Airport for your included flight to Armenia, gateway to Colombia’s Coffee Region. Recognised by UNESCO for its cultural importance, it is known for its coffee plantations, lush countryside, and traditional town set among the Andes. Upon arrival in Armenia. You’ll be met and transferred to your hotel.
Remark: This excursion is not recommended for travellers who are claustrophobic.

After breakfast, travel through the Quindio countryside to the Cocora Valley, one of the most recognisable landscapes in Colombia’s Coffee Region. On arrival, enjoy a traditional Canelazo before setting out along the valley’s walking trails. Here you’ll see the towering wax palms, Colombia’s national tree, which can grow up to 60 metres tall and dominate the surrounding hillsides.
Continue to Salento, the oldest town in the region, where colourful balconies, artisan workshops and colonial architecture reflect the area’s coffee-growing heritage. Spend some time exploring its lively streets before returning to your hotel.
After breakfast, visit a traditional coffee hacienda in the heart of Colombia's Coffee Region. During a guided tour of the plantation, learn about the journey from bean to cup, including planting, harvesting, drying and roasting the coffee.
As you walk through the fields, local experts will explain the different stages of production and the importance of the region’s unique growing conditions. The experience concludes with a coffee tasting, offering the opportunity to sample freshly prepared Colombian coffee and gain a deeper appreciation for one of the country’s most famous exports.
Once your breakfast is done at the hotel, depart Armenia and travel by road to Medellín. The journey takes approximately 6 to 8 hours, passing through the mountainous landscapes of Colombia’s Coffee Region and the Andes. Along the way, there will be several comfort stops, including Mirador in Pereira, at ‘El Tambo’ for lunch and a final stop in Caldas department.
Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel in Medellín. Known as the city of Eternal Spring for its mild climate, Medellín has transformed into one of Colombia's most dynamic cities, combining innovative urban development with a thriving cultural and culinary scene. The remainder of the day is leisure time to explore the city at your own pace.

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, set out to explore Medellín and learn about the city’s remarkable transformation over recent decades. Begin at Botero Plaza, home to 23 oversized sculptures created by Colombia’s renowned artist Fernando Botero. Continue to Comuna 13, once one of Medellín's most challenging neighbourhoods and today one of its most vibrant. Also, here you can experience one of the city’s newest innovative modes of transport inventions i.e. the electric stairways. Discover how street art, music and community projects have helped reshape the area while riding its famous outdoor escalators and exploring the colourful streets.
The tour concludes with a ride on the Metrocable to San Javier. Originally designed to improve connectivity for hillside communities, the cable car also offers panoramic views across Medellín and the surrounding valley.
After breakfast, travel through the scenic countryside to Guatepe, one of Colombia's most colourful towns, known for its brightly painted houses and decorative zocalos that line the streets. Continue to El Peñol, a towering granite monolith rising more than 200 metres above the surrounding landscape. Those wishing to climb the staircase to the top will be rewarded with panoramic views of the lakes and islands below.
Later, enjoy a short boat ride on the Guatepe Reservoir, taking in the area’s picturesque scenery from the water. Following a traditional lunch, return to Medellín in the afternoon.
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Cartagena.
Located on Colombia's Caribbean coast, Cartagena is one of the country’s most fascinating cities and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Behind its historic walls, you’ll find colourful colonial buildings, flower-filled balconies, charming plazas and cobbled streets that reflect centuries of history and cultural influences. The city offers a unique blend of Caribbean charm, colonial heritage, and vibrant local life, making it Colombia’s most popular tourist destination.
Upon arrival, you’ll be met at Cartagena Airport and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure, allowing you to relax or begin exploring the city’s atmospheric streets and waterfront at your own pace.

After breakfast, set out to explore Cartagena, one of South America’s most beautiful colonial cities and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Your tour begins at Castillo San Felipe de Barajas, the largest fortress built by the Spanish in the Americas. Perched on the San Lazaro, the fortress offers insights into Cartagena’s strategic importance during the colonial era, along with impressive views across the city.
Continue into the historic walled centre, where colourful colonial buildings, flower-filled balconies, charming plazas and narrow cobblestone streets create a unique atmosphere. As you stroll through the old town, discover some of Cartagena’s most iconic landmarks and learn about the city’s rich cultural heritage.
The tour concludes with a visit to the Convent of San Pedro Claver, dedicated to the Spanish priest who devoted his life to helping enslaved Africans arriving in Cartagena during the Colonial period.
The remainder of the day is at leisure or you may choose from a selection of optional excursions available locally such as joining a yacht cruise around Cartagena Bay. enjoying a four-course dinner accompanied by wine while taking in views of the waterfront and historic city.
After breakfast, transfer to Cartagena Airport for your flight to Bogota, connecting with your return international flight to London.
As your Colombian adventure comes to an end, take one last look at the Caribbean coast before beginning your journey home, bringing to a close an unforgettable experience through Colombia’s vibrant cities, coffee-growing landscapes, and colonial treasures.
After your breakfast at the hotel, you can use this day to enjoy Cartagena at your own pace. Wander through the colourful streets of the UNESCO-listed Old Town, relax by the Waterfront, browse local boutiques, or enjoy the city's vibrant cafes and restaurants.
Alternatively, you may choose from a selection of optional excursions available locally, including a day trip to Barú Island, a cultural visit to San Basilio de Palenque, a mangrove and drumming experience in La Boquilla, or a salsa dancing class.
