Next, head to One Cup Cafe to witness an amazing coffee-making experience. Learn about the unique journey of coffee from crop to cup which will give you a glimpse of Rwandan Coffee values, history and culture and how that benefits the local communities.
Further, you will be transferred to take part in the Nyamirambo Walking Tour (and enjoy a traditional lunch). The walking tour starts at 10:30 am at the Nyamirambo Women’s Centre (NWC) with an introduction and a local language lesson. Then you get on with the tour through the Nyamirambo, one of Kigali’s oldest neighbourhoods.
Nyamirambo Women’s Centre (NWC), a Rwandan NGO launched by 18 Rwandese women living in Nyamirambo to fight gender-based inequality, violence and discrimination. Currently, NWC’s mission is to provide education and vocational training to women who don’t have the means to pay for such training.
After the tour, either arrive at your hotel for check in or visit two notable tourist attractions Kigali Genocide Memorial or Kimironko Market.

Depart at 7:00 am when your driver guide will meet you at the hotel reception for transfer. Begin your 2.5-hour scenic drive to Akagera National Park in the eastern part of Rwanda. In the afternoon around 3:00 pm, you will be heading for another game drive towards Lake Ihema Boat Safari. The boat safari will start at 4:30 pm. You get to sight hippos, crocodiles, and a wide variety of bird species. Return to your accommodation for dinner.

At 7:00 am you will depart with your driver guide for today’s activities. You will be going from the southern part of Akagera National Park to the northern sector with a stop at Akagera Cafe for lunch. The northern part is composed of wide savannahs where you can see lions, rhinos, and giraffes. Several lakes in the area bring the opportunity to spot birdlife and hippos. In the afternoon, you will exit via the northern gate (Nyungwe Gate) of Akagera National Park and get transferred to Mantis Epic Hotel in Nyagatare for check in and overnight stay.

Around 6:30 am you will depart when your driver guide will meet you at the hotel reception to transfer you for today’s activity. After breakfast, you will be taken to the park headquarters where you will be first briefed about the trek and gorilla behaviour, and assigned in groups (as per suitable fitness).
Next, you will have the most-awaited experience of mountain gorilla trekking to get in close quarters with the rare Mountain Gorillas. Rangers going with you will lead you deep into the forest in the search for the gorillas; the trip will take anywhere from 2-6 hours depending upon their movements.
Descend back down from the mountain to get back to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, either relax at the lodge or you also have the option to take an optional activity on your own account such as a Musanze Authentic Community Walk or Iby'Iwacu Cultural Village Experience.
Today, you will be departing at 6:30 am when your drive guide will meet you at the hotel reception to transfer you for today’s activities. You will take part in the exciting Golden Monkey Trek - first drive to the Volcanoes National Park Headquarters to register and get your briefing for the trek. Then, get transferred to the starting point of the trek. When sighted, you will spend an hour observing activities of these interesting creatures - playing on the forest floor or jumping from branches to branches.
Golden Monkey Trek is easier in comparison. The monkey species are very active, unique and beautiful which makes for amazing pictures. Also, Rwanda has probably the most accessible troops of Golden Monkeys in East Africa. Transfer back to the lodge for lunch, freshen up and head out for your next activity.
It is a 3-hour drive to transfer from Volcanoes National Park to Kigali. Take part in the Mukungwa River Canoe Experience along the way. Have a taste of Rwanda’s lush countryside on a canoe as you spend around 2 1⁄2 - 3 hours on the water and sight numerous beautiful species of birds, meet friendly local communities and thus witness rural life as you pass by. If lucky, you may see otters.
