Further, drive to the picturesque Saiq and Al Ain villages, having picturesque gorges, peaks and wadis. Find the fragrance of the roses of Jabal Al Akhdar (in full bloom in March / April). Moreover, find rose water being distilled in the houses of the villages at the time.

The way consists of driving through the beautiful Eastern Hajar Mountains where you will be enjoying spectacular views of the landscapes below - in fact, you will be passing through various beautiful villages set in the mountains.

As you continue, you will find the road goes down to the wadi adjacent to a vast shallow pool dotted with greenery, and beyond, lies a village. Here we will park our vehicles at this point and go ahead with a short trek to the enchanting deep blue pools of the wadi, where you can enjoy a nice swim.

Fyi: the distance from the parking area to the pool is around 500 metres walk.

Further note: according to the Ministry guidelines, females who would be stepping into the water need to wear shorts and a t-shirt covering their bodies. Swimming in bikinis is not allowed.

Once we are done spending some time in Wadi, drive back to the Wahiba Sands. We will reach the edge of the desert where tyres need to be deflated prior to entering the desert.
