As soon as you arrive at the Cape Town International Airport, you will be welcomed by one of our representatives who will assist with your hotel transfer in a comfortable private vehicle. On arriving at the hotel, you will check in and relax. The rest of the day is at your leisure to spend. During the stay, you will be getting private guided day tours in Cape Town for 3 days. Depending on your time of arrival, you can indulge in a few optional activities like visiting the V&A Waterfront, going for a sunset cruise in Table Bay, enjoying sunset views from Signal Hill, or indulging in the sunset kayak experience along the Table Bay Coastline.

You will be staying for the first 4 nights of the trip in Cape Town, and your luxury accommodation will be the 5* Taj Cape Town. One of their superior interior rooms will be booked in your name on a bed & Breakfast basis.

Your guided tour starts today, so have your breakfast and get ready. One of our guides will be waiting for you at the hotel’s reception area. The guide will give you a half-day Cape Town city orientation tour. This is going to help you learn about the rich history and culture of the city. The tour will start with a cableway trip to the top of Table Mountain. It is an iconic and important landmark of the city. Here you can explore the walking trails and take pictures for your social media. Our guide will ensure that you visit some important points here, including City Bowl, Table Bay, Atlantic Seaboard, and Peninsula.

Once done, our guide will bring you back to the city to visit the Bo Kaap (Cape Malay Quarter). Here, you can simply take a walk in the Company Gardens and Greenmarket Square. Don’t miss out on visiting the Castle of Good Hope, City Hall, Grand Parade, and Adderley Street. Even today, there are certain optional activities like taking a Cape Malay cooking experience in the Bo Kaap that you can indulge but then there will be an additional cost. At the end of the tour, our guide will drop you off at the hotel reception.

Today, you will be heading to the Cape Peninsula for a guided tour. For that, have your breakfast and meet our guide at the reception area. One of the most beautiful places in the world, the Cape Peninsula, is going to give you the first-hand experience of the natural splendours of the country. During the tour, you will be passing a lot of breathtaking views, so keep your camera ready for all the beauty that’s coming up. You will also be visiting the Cape Floral Kingdom, which is another place where you can click multiple pictures for your social media feed.

You will be travelling along the Atlantic Seaboard to Hout Bay. En route, you will be crossing many beaches and the coastal suburbs of Clifton, Camps Bay and Llandudno. When you reach the harbour at Hout Bay, if you wish, you can take a boat ride to the thousands of Cape Fur Seals. Later on, you can go through the Hout Bay Craft Market for any souvenir. Otherwise, you can also walk on the beach and enjoy at the shore. You will be driving past Kalk Bay and Muizenberg, where you can catch glimpses of colourful beach huts.

The next attraction for you will be Chapman’s Peak, which also offers one of the finest scenic drives. You will head to the Cape of Good Hope beach for some amazing pictures. The final few things for the day include visiting Boulders Beach and taking a drive back via the scenic southern suburbs and Cape Town’s coastal. After your eventful day, our guide will drop you off at the hotel’s reception area.

Once you are done with your breakfast, head down to the reception area to meet our guide. You will be heading on a full-day tour of the Cape Winelands paired with a Franschhoek Wine Tram ride. The drive to the winelands will take approximately 45 minutes, after which you will get to enjoy the natural beauty of vineyards, mountains, and the Cape’s Dutch-style architecture. During the tour of the day, you will be visiting attractions including Paarl, Franschhoek, and Stellenbosch. You can have 3 wine tasting sessions at 3 different wine estates in Franschhoek, which will be an included perk.

Once done with all this, you will head on your journey to explore the Franschhoek Valley. For that, you will have to get aboard the Franschhoek Wine Tram. This is going to be a memorable time for you. Click pictures, make memories, and enjoy your time to the fullest. Once done, you will be dropped off at the hotel’s reception area. This is going to be your last day in Cape Town on this trip.

Check out of your room after your breakfast and meet our representative in the reception area. You will be assisted with an afternoon transfer to Cape Town station to check in for your luxury rail journey ahead. You will come aboard Rovos Rail, which is going to offer you a chance to witness some of the fantastic sights of the country. En route, your first sight will be of the winelands of the Western Cape towards Worcester.

Enjoy your tea while watching the beautiful winelands from the lounge and observation cars. Enjoy the sights until sunset and then head to the dining cars for your dinner. You can spend the rest of the evening and night at your leisure. You will be staying aboard the Rovos Rail for the next 3 nights. You will be accommodated in one of their Pullman Suites on a full-board basis. This will include all of your meals, high tea, drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic, excluding French champagne and caviar), and off-train excursions.

Rovos Rail is often described as one of the most luxurious trains in the world. It offers an unforgettable journey through Africa in timeless elegance. Its beautifully restored dining cars serve gourmet meals paired with fine South African wines, recreating the grandeur of a bygone era. The observation car, with large windows and an open-air balcony, provides spectacular views of the passing landscapes. You stay in lavishly appointed suites, each featuring en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, and refined period décour. With attentive service, a dress code that honours tradition, and a leisurely pace, Rovos Rail delivers unmatched comfort and sophistication on the rails.

The breakfast gets served between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m., so during this timeframe, you can head to the dining cars to have your meal. By 8 a.m., the train will take its first stop at Matjiesfontein. You can get down here and explore the village that is purely pristine and beautiful. Make sure to visit the platform museum. Then check out the historic cars and railway carriages collection beside the Lord Milner Hotel. You will be getting 2 hours to enjoy your time at the village, after which you will have to board the train for the further journey.

Your next attraction staying aboard will be the Karoo, which is a semi-desert region. The entire day will be at your leisure to spend. You will be staying aboard throughout the day. You will have your lunch, tea, and then your dinner.

Today the breakfast will be served between 6 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. You will have to manage your meal accordingly because the train will be reaching its second stop, Kimberley, at around 8:30 a.m. It is the capital of the Northern Cape and a wonderful town. You will get down from the train and explore the town. You will be going on a tour of the Kimberley’s Diamond Mine Museum as well as the Big Hole. This will be a 4-hour stop, so you have enough time to explore, enjoy, and have fun.

At around noon, your rail journey will resume, and you will be heading towards Klerksdorp and Highveld. Tea and dinner will be served in the dining cars. This is going to be the last day on Rovos Rail on this trip.

The breakfast will be served in the dining cars of Rovos Rail between 7 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., so have your meal accordingly. By 10 in the morning, Rovos Rail will reach Pretoria station, which will be the terminal of the rail and your rail journey. As you get down at the station, one of our representatives will be there to assist with your transfer to the hotel in this city. You will be staying for a single night in Johannesburg. Your stay will be at the 5* Peermont D'oreale Grande Hotel. One of their classic king rooms will be booked in your name on a Bed & Breakfast basis. When you check into your hotel, the remainder of your day will be at your leisure to spend.

On arriving at Skukuza airport, you will meet our representative who will be assisting you with your transfer to your lodge in the Kruger National Park.

Check into your hotel and freshen up, and then take a stroll around. As the sun sets, it will be followed by a night feast with performance and tales from times long-gone. Your stay for the last leg of the trip, which is for 3 nights, will be in the 5* Kruger Shalati- The Train on the Bridge. At this property, one of their luxury carriage suites will be booked in your name on a full-board plus basis.
