Accommodation

5L Hotel Beijing

4* Beijing 5L Hotel offers contemporary comfort in the heart of Beijing. Blending modern design with subtle Chinese elegance, the property features well-appointed rooms, quality dining venues, a fitness centre, and attentive service. Its convenient location provides easy access to cultural landmarks, business districts, and shopping areas, making it an ideal base for both leisure and business travellers.

After breakfast at the hotel, we begin our day with a stroll along the historic Qianmen Street, soaking in the atmosphere of old Beijing as we approach the vast Tiananmen Square. Here, we admire the iconic Tiananmen Gate to the north and the impressive Qianmen Tower to the south. Flanking the square are the grand National Museum of China and the monumental Great Hall of the People, while the Monument to the People's Heroes stands proudly at its centre.

We then step into the magnificent Forbidden City, once home to Ming and Qing emperors and a masterpiece of classical Chinese architecture. Later, we climb Jingshan Park for panoramic views over its golden rooftops. Our day continues through traditional hutongs before settling in for the night in Beijing.

Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel before setting out to discover the remarkable Mutianyu Great Wall, one of the best-preserved stretches of the legendary Great Wall of China. A scenic cable car ride takes you up to this magnificent structure, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. Originally initiated in the 5th century BC and later unified and expanded under Emperor Qin Shi Huang in the 3rd century BC, the wall extends over 21,000 kilometres, reaching from the Korean border to the Gobi Desert and once serving as a vital defence line along the Silk Road.

Later, wander through one of Beijing’s traditional Hutongs, charming narrow alleys lined with classic courtyard homes that reflect the city’s historic lifestyle. In the evening, visit Qianmen Street, a 600-year-old avenue beautifully illuminated at night. Admire the glowing red lanterns, blue stone pathways, and the striking Zhengyangmen Arrow Tower while soaking in the vibrant atmosphere.

Today, you will be heading to the next destination, Xi’an. Meet our representative who will help with your transfer to the railway station for a high-speed train journey to Xi'an. Upon arrival, your local guide will greet you and escort you back to your hotel before beginning your sightseeing program.

Your first stop will be the vibrant Xi’an Muslim Quarter, a lively cultural area situated west of the Bell and Drum Towers. Rather than a single street, this historic neighbourhood is a network of lanes such as Beiyuanmen, West Yangshi Street, and Huajue Lane. Its origins trace back to the Tang Dynasty’s Fanfang district, later developing into a flourishing Hui Muslim community during the Ming and Qing periods. While here, you will visit the remarkable Great Mosque of Xi'an, admired for its elegant blend of Chinese architectural design and Islamic artistry.

Later, explore the impressive Ancient City Wall of Xi'an, one of China’s best-preserved defensive structures. Overnight in Xi’an.
