Once you arrive, complete your immigration and baggage formalities, and later, a designated representative will meet you and take you on a drive towards Thimphu, Bhutan's capital. The journey will be quite an experience, enjoying the cool and fresh mountain air.

On the way, you will stop at Chuzom, a beautiful point which is the confluence of the Thimphu and Paro rivers. And, before you reach Chuzom, you can see the magnificent Tschogang Lhakhang, which means 'the temple of the excellent horse'.

Once you arrive, check in to your hotel in Thimphu. Enjoy your evening exploring Thimphu Main Street and the market area.

Later, take a drive to beautiful Trashichhoe Dzong, a Buddhist monastery and a fortress on the north side of the city.

After that, your tour is going to take you to Buddha Point, the largest statue of Buddha in the country. The place is only a short drive from Thimphu city centre, but more importantly, it offers stunning views of the Thimphu valley from the Buddha point. Once you are here, offer prayers to the Buddha and later walk around to enjoy the gorgeous views of the valley.

For the evening hours, stroll through the government-run Handicrafts Emporium and local crafts bazaar, where you can witness Bhutan's traditional arts. As souvenirs or for personal use, you can get hand-woven textiles, slate and wood carvings, and jewellery.

In the morning hours, first have your breakfast and leave Thimphu and continue with your drive to Punakha across the Dochu La Pass. The place offers magnificent views over the high peaks of the Eastern Himalayas.

Reach your location and check in at your hotel. Further, head for Punakha Dzong. It is a massive structure set on the junction of two rivers and serves as the winter residence of the monks.

Further, you will hike up through the fields of cabbage, chillies, and rice set on the banks of the Mo Chhu to Khamsum Yuelley Namgyal Chorten.

For the evening, you explore the riverside Punakha village.

Later, your trip includes an excursion to Chimi Lhakhang. In the first half, you take a drive on the motorable road, followed by a walk through paddy fields and villages. It is believed that couples who don't possess children and desire one when they pray at Chimi Lhakhang are often blessed with a child. Also, a walkthrough of the village by the temple will give you glimpses into the life of the locals.

Have breakfast this morning, and then take a drive back to Paro as you descend from Dochu La, and then follow the way back up the Wang Chhu and Paro Chhu river valleys before you cross through Paro Town located at the north end of the valley.

On the route, visit Simtokha Dzong, which is a place of tantric teaching and houses a school for Dzongkha language study.

Further, in the day, you will check in at your hotel and visit Ta Dzong, housing the National Museum. The place has an extensive collection of textiles, antique thangkha paintings, weapons and armour, and various natural and historic artefacts.

After this, you are going to have a short walk down the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong, a large dzong Buddhist monastery and fortress. The place will put you in awe at the beautiful illustrations.

On your way back you will stop at Drunkgyel Dzong, a ruined but beautiful fortress where Bhutanse warriors fought with Tibetan invaders. On the way, visit the Kyichu Lhakhang which is one of the 108 temples built in the Himalayas by Tibetan King, Songtsen Gampo.
